WELCOME TO THE L.I.F.T. CLASSES at the University of St. Thomas! We are here to help you learn English. We must all work together to make your learning experience a successful one.

PLEASE DO NOT MISS YOUR FIRST CLASS, you risk being dropped from the course.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your class. Classes begin on Saturday, September 12, 2015, and go to the second floor of the Crooker Center. Upon arriving at the LEAVITT Study and Meeting Room 214:
1. Check the lists located on the wall by door of this office;
2. Find your name on the ALPHABETICAL lists
3. Next to your name you will find your class level and room assignment
4. GO TO CLASS and prepare to learn a lot of English!

Classes will be held in the STRAKE, MALLOY, JERABECK AND O'ROURK BUILDINGS —see map on back!!! BE AWARE THAT THE CLASSROOM TO WHICH YOU ARE ASSIGNED MAY OCCASIONALLY CHANGE DUE TO OTHER EVENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY. If you do not find your class in the usual room, please ask at the LIFT office. ***Please bring some paper/notebook, a pencil/pen and if possible, an English dictionary. Your teacher will inform you about books on the first day of class.

This is a 10-week, Saturday-only program: Classes begin September 12, 2015 and end on Saturday, December 5, 2015. In addition to ESL levels 1-8, we offer pronunciation, conversation, writing and health classes. Each class is 3 hours long. Morning classes: 9 AM – 12 Noon

YOUR ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION IN CLASS IS ESSENTIAL TO ENSURE THAT YOU AND YOUR CLASSMATES RECEIVE THE FULL BENEFIT OF THE PROGRAM.

n order to be considered for promotion to the next level, you cannot miss more than (3) three classes. If you have a special situation that will cause you to be late or absent, please let your teacher know. PERFECT ATTENDANCE certificates will be given to those who attend all 30 hours of class.
